my treasures

So, back to work today.... and YES, I have had 6 weeks holiday.... and yes, it is not long until the next..... and yes I am so very lucky!!! I am a teacher you see, and yes, I have heard all these before. There definately are advantages to being a teacher. I got to see my wee ones loads in the holiday (oh how I missed them today) and I can catch up on some household jobs over the holiday.

But I did work for 2 weeks solidly, (and should have done more) and my pay does (in my opinion) reflect the holiday situation!!.

Anyway- work went well, 7 weeks 4 days until half term!

well...... no Ikea today (makes a change- instead, swimming. I hate swimming, but needs must with 2 small children... its the sunday of ... how much can we do to tire them out and make them sleep. we swam, went for a walk, went to the farm, had an hours soft play... cycled and now we are playing trains, with a spot of ballet dancing! Bed is a mere 20 minutes away. I am knackered, but they seem to have duracell batteries. Mine, well they are certainly not ever ready- more Tesco value!

Going out to dinner tonight, a rare treat, to try to take my mind off my impending return to work in the morning. Better not get a hang over!!!

IKEA FRENZY

So- Today I made a big discovery- breakfast at Ikea.

I went to buy some flat pack storage to transfer my plastic toy landfill site into a living room (spurred on by friends decorating!) ... and there was a sign... breakfast £1. It would ahve ben rude not to test it... delicious... just trying to get dh to take the fsamily there tomorrow (one of the panels has a chipped corner and has to be returned.... shame!

Also went to see the Gruffalo and child today, at the Edinburgh festival. Took some children as an excuse!! It was great, despite daughter needing the toilet after only 10 minutes!

Anyway...need some sleep as my daughter decided the rain was a bit noisy last night and couldn't sleep. So I ended up in her bed (IKEA) It has a wooden rim, try creeping out of that without disturbing ssleeping child!.
